"Macross DYRL: Yamato's 1/60 VF-1S Roy Focker Anniversary Edition!"

Here comes Yamato's 1/60 VF-1S Roy Focker from Macross DYRL! This is the 1st Anniversary Special version and it comes in this beautiful package:

The other Anniversary release is Hikaru Ichijo's VF-1S. As is the trend with Yamato's releases lately, there is no flip-top cover to view the contents.

Mini Roy.. all the pilots are differentiated only by the color of their helmet.

Battroid:

On its own it doesn't look too mean, so lets bring on the Super & Strike parts!

One feature of the super parts is the removable cover. Now you can see all those shiny metallic details inside!

The VF-1S has the coolest face in town; he's just so handsome! ^_^

Joining the fun is VF-1A Hikaru Ichijo~~

The difference is of course the color scheme and the head. Sadly, my VF-1A now suffers from loose hip joints, peeling cockpit paint and the infamous cracked shoulder problem :'(

Anyway, we can borrow the head from VF-1S to recreate the epic finale of DYRL:

Fire away~~!

The Anniversary set comes with a mini projector...

... which projects the Skull Suadron logo... umm... cool? Not really!

This set costs RM555 which is an astonishing RM100+ more than the original VF-1S I got for fellow Macross fan Eric last year. Aside from the price, the only other complaint I have was that Yamato didn't use the newer V2.1 body (with a simplified crotch locking mechanism) for this release. So, transforming to Battroid mode is still a pain!

Roy's VF-1S remains the most popular valkyrie in Macross, and Yamato knows it, so coming up are 2 more flavours to it: The 1/48 scale reissue and the 1/60 TV version!

No wonder, it looks so familiar. U bought Roy Fokker too...Damn, I thought mine was unique, and next time will fetch a higher price, but looks unlikely as Yamato kept releasing New Anniversary's version, then maybe Macross Birthday's version..etc. Anyway, actually I wasn't actually looking on the reselling price, juz a fan collecting the model and I have only one at the moment, can't compare with u :) Yea, I was having a hard time figuring how to transform it at 1st, gotta view at youtube on guide how they transform it. Wonder why they not using version 2.1, maybe they are clearing old stocks by releasing this special edition. They always have a way to empty our pocket..haha
