"ATR Teambuilding @ Pisces, Behind the Scenes"

I don't have anything new to share yet, so posting these "behind-the-scenes" pics which I found from the loads of pics shared by other photographers!

Zoe caught me snapping my 2 other models.. feels weird to see it.. :P

Photographers usually don't have many pics of themselves, so this one is a rare taken by SA

This one was taken by Shaun.. looks like I was so focused on viewing the pics!

A close up shot by CL... his pics all seem to be close-up/portraits -- which is not good for guys... girls ok la... can showcase smooth skin :P

Pic by Zoe... early morning action! Sometimes quite pressure also; have to find the right setting, and have to compose the picture in an attractive way.. and make sure people don't spend too long waiting for u... but it's all fun (I guess)!

Ah, I can't wait for the next opportunity to play with the camera-- starting with our fren TSG's long awaited wedding next Saturday!

"Experimenting with new setup (and preview)"

Now with the new D3000, I'm trying to take "better" shots of my two latest acquisitions:

1) Sega's Evangelion 2.0 Ayanami Rei!

DSC_0075 (Small)

2) Bandai's DX Chogokin VF-25F Tornado Messiah!

DSC_0128 (Small)

Notice the background is now plain white. This is because I placed 2 white cardboards; one to cover the wall, the other to cover the base.

How is it? Not very attractive, rite? I thought so too...

The pictures came out dark and has that "cheap" look :( Wonder what is wrong. Anyway, this weekend will be going back to Melaka for long holiday, so the earliest chance to try snapping again is the following weekend :-S

The cool thing about a DSLR is the ability to focus clearly on the object and blur out the background :)

Mr. Monkey 2 ... Lots of them around!

Almost all the pics were taken with the zoom lense using Auto setting.. pretty satisfied with the end result :)

"Nikon D3000!"

Introducing a new friend...

The Nikon D3000!

IMG_9191 (Small)

with included 18-55mm lense

IMG_9192 (Small)

Rear view

IMG_9196 (Small)

Optional stuff: Wide angle converter & Zoom lense (70-300mm)

IMG_9199 (Small)

Zoom lense comes with this huge cover-thing but not sure what it's used for...

IMG_9198 (Small)

Big bag to carry all the equipment (with big Nikon logo in front... scared ppl duno it's camera mer -_-'')

IMG_9203 (Small)

Nicely fit all 3 stuff

I got this for RM1.7k (body and default lense) + RM250 (wide angle converter) + RM700 (zoom lense). The Nikon D3000 is the most basic entry level DSLR; what I like about it (besides the low price) is the GUIDE mode. It's like a dummy mode where there is a menu basically asking "What do you want to do" and lets you know the corresponding settings. Neat!

Next: some test shots :D

(Notice now there are watermarks on my pics.. this is because there have been too many cases where I saw my photos ending up being used by people to sell THEIR products :-S )
