Thundercats 2011!

Bought these a few months ago, from the new Thundercats 2011 series~~

They are wearing different outfits now, but the names are the same as the classic counterparts: Tygra, Cheetara, Mum-ra, Snarf, Lion-O and Panthro!

 
 And the Thundertank! Missed out on these back in 1988, but not going to miss out again :P

This is the last "vintage" wave before moving back to Build-a-droid... In a way, I'm not really sad that vintage is going on hiatus, becoz hunting for these guys has been a real pain in the ass! :P >

This is the cheapo version from Mattel, with the toy-ish handle to boot!


Awesome vehicle from the movie, now in plastic form. Had to order from HLJ costing about RM230++ since Mattel didn't bring into Malaysia market :S In fact, the shipping cost from Japan is almost the same as the actual toy cost! However, it's lacking a 3.75 inch Batman figure to pilot it... will get one when they go on clearance...muahhahha...

Avengers Assemble!

It took awhile but I finally managed to get Loki, Hawkeye, Black Widow and Iron Man Mark VII! Still can't find Avengers Thor and Captain America version, so these older guys will have to stand in :P

Dark Knight Rises was AWESOME!! Went to Borders and bought these two; from where the plot mainly came from - Knightfall.. Ahh... the good ol' days of comic book collecting :)

But TDKR also the last of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy... *sob sob*... I'm missing it already.....

Macross Frontier: Bandai's 1/60 VF-171EX Alto Saotome Custom

Breaking out of Macross retirement! When I heard XL-Shop already received and sold-out on this VF-171EX, I hurriedly called Uncle, "Are you getting this? If yes, please reserve for me!!!" And surprise-surprise, he did get one and only ONE of it. Here it is:

Fighter mode:


Fighter mode is easily the most beautiful of the 3... sleek and compact. No loose parts or anything. I guess Bandai made Alto's color first as he is the hero of the show. I bet they won't waste the chance to repaint it into the cannon fodder color too, since they are the ones which show up most of the time (being blown to bits by Vajra hahaa)...

Battroid is the hardest mode to transform to... the joints are super-stiff and the instructions are not clear. The chest-piece keeps flopping around and parts fall off as you try to figure out the right steps! Fortunately, it gets a lot easier the subsequent times once you know the "trick" points... :D

Now waiting for the super parts to make it even fiercer!

Updates

The blog has gone all silent for pretty much since I moved to the new house. Moving stuff, buying stuff, cleaning stuff certainly takes up most of my time. Events in the office are also not helping... and most critically, there is no Streamyx connection and my Digi broadband is super slow here (I guess no coverage)... Sigh, luckily today is a holiday, can catch up on some much needed rest! :)

... @ RM61.95 each... INSANE!!! Yeah, that's referring to me... the movie may have been postponed but the first wave of figures have arrived. Well, my insanity only allowed me to buy my 3 favourite figures: Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow and Red Ninja... the rest I will wait for clearance!

"Moving Day!"

Finally, it's Moving Day! Even though some renovation was still ongoing, but what the heck, we cannot wait any longer - the date was decided as 5 May
