"Moving Day!"

Finally, it's Moving Day! Even though some renovation was still ongoing, but what the heck, we cannot wait any longer - the date was decided as 5 May

A simple moving-in ceremony


Which included also cooking our first meal there. 5 May was Wesak Day, so we went ahead with .... vegetarian maggi mee :P

 
The house is kinda messy right now as there's a lot of boxes being moved in! Above is only a snapshot of the "shipment" hahaha...

This was last week, but I didn't get the chance to update the blog :P We were surprised to find that they installed the lights and cleaned the place as well!

The contractor say next Monday will install the shoe cabinet and the master room's bedframe. And by Wed, he will ask the cleaners to come in before getting me to inspect the final stuff on Fri. Hmm... seems like still alot to do; can he make it in time?? :-S

A week later...


They fixed the fan... now it's flying upright! :P Previously the blades were terbalik... :-S

This shows the relative size of the kitchen... now with the top cabinet assembled, but the solid surface, hood and hob still missing... oh ya, the sink too...


At first I was shocked to see the uneven cabinet on the right... but when I cross-checked with the drawing, it's correct :-S it means more storage space i guess!

Finally decided to go ahead and buy it! This is the actual unit:

And I didn't notice that at the end of my block was the view of Komtar... pretty neat...

The buying process has started... already put 1% deposit, decided on the lawyer firm and bank loan. Oh ya, the price is RM414k... which means soon I have to come up with the 9% remainder of RM37.2k! *cough cough*

Buying house is a very expensive affair, not only for the price but also need to pay the agent's commission (RM4k) and lawyer fees (about RM9K). Too bad EPF withdrawal can only be done after completing the signing and stamping :'(
