"Macross Frontier: Super Parts for VF-25F Alto Custom!"

It's New Year's Eve and here we have another purchase: the Super Parts for VF-25F Alto Custom! Before this, I have two versions of Alto's valkyrie: the Movie Version Super Messiah and the Tornado Messiah. We sort of got conned by Bandai because the "Movie Version" was never in the movie. I still like it a lot, but was always longing to have the accurate version of Alto. While participating in the local Macross forum, I came across a guy who was selling off a brand new Super Parts for a good price of RM180. So I removed the Tornado Pack from the VF-25F and now we have the iconic, the real, TV-accurate, movie-accurate Alto's VF-25F Super Messiah!

Getting the Super Parts made me feel as if I just bought a new valkyrie! The only problem is, I can only display either the Tornado Pack or the Super Pack at one time~~ :-S

"Macross Frontier: Bandai's 1/60 DX Chogokin RVF-25 Luca Custom!"

Here comes Luca's RVF-25! Luca Angeloni is the tech specialist in the team, so his valkyrie isn't exactly the most sought after compared to the likes of Ozma, Alto or Michael. The RVF-25 is equipped for electronic warfare with the large radome and sensor capabilities.

Gerwalk mode SUCKS. BIG TIME. I spent 15 minutes trying to get this guy to pose without the back wing section collapsing.

Luca. Well, actually it's the same blob of plastic for every VF-25 :P

RVF-25's unique bug-like head... cute :D

Luca is seldom seen in aggressive fighting mode though, he prefers to send out his Ghosts to do the work.

The large radome partially blocks the wing boosters from closing.

Part 2: without Super Parts
Battroid:

Yeah, he looks naked without the super parts!

DSC_0469 (Large)
But like all the other VF-25 valkyries, the poseability increases dramatically without the extra parts!

Gerwalk on the stand is pretty boring...

DSC_0484_G (Large)
You have to cheat a little to get the aggresive "A-stance" that we all love Unfortunately this "cheat" is so unstable that you have to fiddle with the angle and joints so that it doesn't collapse. Sigh. Bandai, bandai....

The radome can be totally removed to make it a generic VF-25.
