"Macross Frontier:Bandai's 1/60 VF-25F Super Messiah Alto Custom!"

Here comes Alto's VF-25F Super Messiah! This is the movie edition, the difference is that the fighter is now slightly blue-ish white and the super parts are sky-blue instead of gray. Another way for Bandai to make more money!

IMG_7949

This time, the stand provided is painted with the SMS logo, a nice touch~~

Gerwalk:

IMG_7957

Gerwalk remains the weakest mode of Bandai's design; it's a floppy mess if you tried to pose it without the stand (although not impossible).

Battroid:

IMG_7967

This is my favourite pose in Battroid mode :P

IMG_7972

And here's without the super parts...

Battroid:

IMG_7973

Feels like naked :P

The Knife!

Fighter:

Doing the nose-dive!

And flying with the rest of the squadron~~

IMG_8009

Only one more left to complete Skull Squadron; it's only a matter of time! :P

Come, come, newest attraction in town, everybody take a pic home :D

Here's the box:

IMG_8032

Previously Bandai released the VF-25F and its super parts separately as an exclusive (meaning very expensive and hard to find). This pack costs RM620 after discount, a more affordable way of owning the series' main hero, Alto Saotome's ride. Only catch is the sky-blue super parts may not be appealing to some. I was hesitant too, but after having seen the real stuff, I think it's just awesome :D

"An expensive taste"

One fine day, wanted to have ice-cream. I suggested McD's sundae.. nice and cheap. But ended up with...

IMG_7793

Haagen Daaz! Nice but

I wonder how on earth the bill came up to about RM30!! To their credit, they serve each scoop inside a chilled cup, bringing an extra coolness to the ice-cream. Even provide us a cup of water with a hint of lime. Wahh~~ Crap. Next time, McD will suffice! :S

"G.I.Joe: Rise of Cobra collection!"

More stuff from the year-end madness! Among all of last year's movies, I really liked G.I. Joe a lot and when TRU had their massive sales, my collection also grew massively :P

Each figure was only RM29.90 (instead of RM39.90) and if you spend RM150, get RM20 voucher, spend RM250, get RM40 voucher! At the end of it all, I had ALOT of vouchers which can be used to buy even more :D

IMG_7846

Everyone together for the class pic~~

G.I. Joes:

IMG_7832

Who better to start off introducing the team than the coolest character of them all: Snake Eyes! And I have 3 versions of him..

IMG_7834

Duke...

IMG_7835

Scarlett, Ripcord

IMG_7836

Heavy Duty, another Scarlett and Breaker

IMG_7830

poor Cover Girl, General Hawk and Sgt Stone

IMG_7838

These guys didn't appear in the movie, but I got them anyway because they look so cool~~

IMG_7839

Another Heavy Duty and Duke

Cobra:

IMG_7820

The hot Baroness and Cobra Commander

IMG_7821

Snake Eyes' sparring partner, Storm Shadow

IMG_7822

Zartan, troopers...

IMG_7824

More troopers

IMG_7826

And more.. There are not too many bad guys to buy actually. Most of them are troopers.

IMG_7849

Team shot... macho men and woman~~

IMG_7850

Snake Eyes taking on Storm Shadow in the final battle!

Unfortunately, Hasbro seems to have decided that the G.I. Joe line is not making as much money as expected, so I have a feeling that it's going to suffer a similar fate as the Indy line. The last few waves were almost impossible to find. In fact one wave never even made it here. It's a pity really, because the quality and design of the G.I. Joe figures were exceptional. Well, it was good while it lasted!

"Macross Zero: Yamato 1/60 VF-0S!"

Finally... a valkyrie from Macross Zero: this is Roy Focker's VF-0S and it comes in this massive box!

IMG_7868

In terms of chronology, Macross Zero is placed 1 year before the events in Macross TV series:

Macross Zero
Macross TV series/ DYRL
Macross Plus
Macross 7
Macross Frontier

... so the VF-0S is the predecessor for the more common VF-1 series.

Fighter:

IMG_7869
IMG_7870
IMG_7872
IMG_7877

with a mini Roy Focker.

Gerwalk:

IMG_7879
IMG_7882

Transformation is very similar to VF-1, only thing to be careful of is the tiny spoke at the nose cone.

Battroid:

IMG_7894
IMG_7895
IMG_7899

Now this is my favourite mode for VF-0S! Check out his awesomely cool face ~~!

IMG_7907

VF-0S stands at least 2 heads taller than a standard VF-1.

This baby costs RM615 and I got it during the end of year spending spree :P There is another VF-0A, piloted by the main hero, Shin Kudo, at a cheaper RM515, but I prefer the VF-0S anytime ;) Also, now need to search for the QF-2200D Ghost booster to complete this picture:

"Macross: VF-1J with Armor Parts & Macross 7: VF-19 Kai!"

I wanted to write about some stuff at work, but then it would only get everyone down. Instead, lets look at more Macross! This one is coming anytime now... Hikaru Ichijo's VF-1J with Armor Parts from the Macross TV series~~

10096195p
10096195a
10096195a3
10096195a5

Armor parts removed:

10096195a7

Retail price about RM680. Buy? Not sure... I've been reading in the Macross forums lately and there seems to be a complaint that the shoulders on this VF-1J is prone to breaking. That doesn't sound too good. Maybe just save money for my next target:

Nekki Basara's VF-19 Kai from Macross 7!

kai1
kai2

Coming end of Jan, this is a new line from Bandai called VF HI-METAL at 1/100 scale. Retail price RM320. Can't wait ^_^

Totsugeki Love Heart!!!
