"Ip Man 2"

Summer blockbusters are here and currently two big movies are facing off for your attention: Ip Man 2 and Iron Man 2! I managed to overcome a bout of running nose to make it into the cinema to watch Ip Man 2 last Friday. It was really packed, so we were pretty fortunate to get nice seats.

How was the movie? I'd say the first 80% of it was pure AWESOME. Very few movies actually draw you into their world and make you a part of it. Ip Man 2 does it brilliantly to bring you to Hong Kong in the 1950s where our hero is trying to setup his martial arts school.

Just a bit of a shame on the ending, coz it reminds me ALOT of Rocky IV :P But considering there isn't much that the series could have expanded on, this is an astonishing accomplishment.

The end cameo of Bruce Lee was surely expected, but hopefully the audience takes Ip Man as his own character rather than just "Bruce Lee's sifu". Donnie Yen portrays an inspiring model of calm and nobility.

MUST WATCH! :D
