Went to Botanical Garden for some test shots using the new D3000 :P

The cool thing about a DSLR is the ability to focus clearly on the object and blur out the background :)

Almost all the pics were taken with the zoom lense using Auto setting.. pretty satisfied with the end result :)

I got this for RM1.7k (body and default lense) + RM250 (wide angle converter) + RM700 (zoom lense). The Nikon D3000 is the most basic entry level DSLR; what I like about it (besides the low price) is the GUIDE mode. It's like a dummy mode where there is a menu basically asking "What do you want to do" and lets you know the corresponding settings. Neat!

(Notice now there are watermarks on my pics.. this is because there have been too many cases where I saw my photos ending up being used by people to sell THEIR products :-S )

"The Wedding Part 2: The Morning Session (I)!"

It was close to 1AM after cleaning up the tables and stuff for the open house. Before they left, kept reminding the guys, "8AM tomorrow ya". Gave a call to Gf before sleeping. "Umm.. so what should I do tomorrow again?" For the 1000th time, she had to describe what to expect tomorrow, like who I should give ang pow to, the schedule to follow, etc etc". Well, you just *know* that it's gonna turn out to be a mess! Lie down on the bed, tried to get some sleep but before long, the alarm rang. It was already 6AM.

The house was a hive of activity and to my surprise, the gang actually came at 8AM sharp! Told them not ready yet, so they went for breakfast :P Some of my relatives also arrived early. I think I must've had some kind of mental block that morning because everything was in a mess: "What should I do, what should I do?" Thankfully there's ... Super Sab! A figure of authority, she brought calm to everyone, helping to organize the gang, coordinating the convoy, deciding the route.



The Car and Driver arrived early as well. All-white is the theme today :D Mom was also like a busy bee and she still managed to help me blow my hair :) Then after gobbling down a quick breakfast, it was time to put on the suit.





I wasn't aware that everyone was actually outside my room looking at me all the while, so I was totally caught by surprise as I turned to leave the room and saw everyone suddenly clapping and cheering! I was so happy+surprised+touched that I was close to tears :)

There was another pin-up flower and we didn't know what to do with it :P "Put it on me? Sure?" SG looking puzzled.. hahaha

Super Sab in action, coordinating with the cameraman (black shirt), videoman (brown shirt) and drivers on the route to go to Gf's house. Videoman had some instructions for us while on the road. He wanted to capture the pics of the convoy travelling!

"VF-25S Armored .... broken!!"

Holy crap, my VF-25S Armored Ozma broke last night when I tried to transform it!



Unfortunately the damage is at a critical point of transformation, so super-glue-ing would not help much :'( Sigh... Bandai oh Bandai... why are you doing this; designing such crap and charging exorbitant prices for it. Now this valk will probably remain in Fighter mode only :(

Ok, the movie was bad, but how are the toys? These 3 that I got are pretty wicked!!



Mark 1 suit, Iron Monger and Mark 2 suit. Eh, all 3 from the first Iron Man movie... Haha... not to worry, plan to get:

Mark 3 :


From Iron Man 1, no hurry since there's alot on the shelves.

Mark 4:


Rebuilt from the Mark 3 armor damaged at the end of the first movie. No hurry as well, plenty available.

Mark 5:


This is the portable briefcase armor that Tony uses to battle Whiplash. Haven't seen any yet.

Mark 6:


This is the one with the triangular chest light. Plenty available.

War Machine:


This one is legendary hard to find. Must be patient!

Hmm.. I wonder if they'll have Whiplash and Black Widow figures.... :D

Macross Frontier: Bandai's 1/60 VF-25G Michael Custom!"

Looking back, I wasn't satisfied with the pics posted for the original VF-25G review. It was taken at close to sunset so the distribution of sunlight was not even and it affected the color of the model. Also, the blue cloth used as the base was crumpled. So, I decided to retake it, hopefully with better results this time!

Now we can see clearly the defect where there are 2 shades of blue: the body is lighter blue than the wings :-S

With the stand, Gerwalk is less frustrating to pose. But then you can't do the aggresive "A" stance that we expect from Gerwalk. If they had added swivel knees, this would have been perfect.

It's been a year since I bought the VF-25G.. there are paint chipping off (since I didn't know how to handle it then), the hip armor still fall off easily... but it's still one of my favourite because it was my first Macross Frontier DX collection :)
