Last weekend...

Buy 2, 10% off!!
Buy 3, 15% off!!!

Leo: "This one also got discount?", pointing to the newly arrived 1/60 VF-25G.
Shopkeeper: "Yes, same supplier one, no problem"
Leo: "Lets see. This is RM718. If 15%, then become RM610. Hey, that's pretty good deal!" Err, but today I'm here to buy YF-21 wor... "Uncle, YF-21 got discount?"
Shopkeeper: "5% only."
Leo: "Hmm.. normal time also 5%, this one can get 15%... better I go for this!" But need to buy 3 only get 15%. "What's the cheapest other product to get this discount?"

Shopkeeper: "Here, these are cheap.. RM17.90 and RM20.90 only. Can mix it."
Leo: What the heck are these?? But then, if add up also... *punching handphone calculator furiously* RM(17.90+20.90+718) -15% = RM643. That's about 10% off. Still ok wor. "OK, set!"

And here we have it: The 1/60 scale VF-25G Michael Custom from Bandai!

Huge box! Unlike the 1/72 scale which I bought earlier, the 1/60 scale is ready-made. It comes with the Super pack and stand too!

Fighter, Gerwalk and Battroid mode. Michael is a sniper, so the unique thing about his Valkyrie is his rifle, which you can open up manually!

The Super pack can be removed quite easily:

Check out the ankles: they are SOLID METAL! The whole thing is very heavy with all the die-cast parts and man, it even smells of metal! One thing though, be VERY careful when transforming it: I broke, yes BROKE the screw on the arm. The shoulder is also solid metal and very tightly fitted. The screw however, was those regular ones, so it broke when I moved it too hard. Luckily Modo got spare screw :P

The VF-25G comparison:

The 1/72 scale vs 1/60. The frustrating thing about the 1/72 is that it's really a model kit and not meant to be played. The parts fall of too easily and doesnt stay in place. Besides the price (1/72 already costs RM285), this is the other reason why I backed out and went for the 1/60. Make no mistake about it; the 1/60 is extremely expensive, more than double the price, but the end product really showes you what you're getting.

Ah, my Yamato's 1/60 VF-1A which I got for only RM379. Can see it is considerably smaller than the VF-25G. But it's extremely well build, even better than the VF-25G, as all the parts snap into place snugly. Yamato's engineering IMHO is really top of the class.

Ok, that's crazy. I just spent RM643 on this. RM643!!! Last time I had to work as Parkson promoter for one whole month just to get RM600! :-S
