Last Sunday, I met up with XM, Vivian, JC and SY for lunch. XM and Vivian were here for vacation (so nice!). What was supposed to be just lunch turned out to be a whole-day activity of non stop eating and walking! :D
Penang Road famous cendol, ais kacang. Hmm, tastes like.... ais kacang. Hahaha..
XM, V, SY
Then to Burmese temple for Water Festival... check out the guy with the pail, they basically splash water at anyone!
As can be seen, Vivian and SY were the only ones who dared to go in to the temple!
But the day was very hot, so getting splashed isn't really a bad thing ;)
Then to SY's house for a change of clothes and nice snack, then off to Kek Lok Si. But overshot the parking, so went up all the way to the Air Itam Dam.
Water level still looking good
At Kek Lok Si also can get a nice panoramic view.
The remnants of the old KuanYin statue.
And JC admiring the new bronze one. Currently there's construction going on to build a shelter for the statue so that it won't decay like the old one.
Then go to the famous Penang Laksa at Air Itam.. V actually said that was the best meal she had in Penang! After that almost dinner time dy, went to the Ship at Batu Feringghi, then night market at Batu Feringghi, then Gurney Drive food court, but oh, starting to rain, so cancelled that! Can't believe how much food we can actually eat. The one last stop at Air Itam again, where there's this road side stall selling... fresh milk mix with egg... V say, try, try.. ok lor... so the guy pop open some raw eggs, pour the hot fresh milk and pull it like teh tarik.. omg... the drink came out a bit weird for me. It's like ...raw egg??!
Reach home already close to 11PM. Very tired, but fun, been a long time since we had fun like this!
Oh, and the next day of course Monday blues kau2!! :-S
