"Tragic End :("

Sometimes subconsciously a person can almost sense something bad was going to happen. Yeah, this week didn't exactly start off in the best way! No, not about work again. Monday morning, arrived in office. As usual, open IE->Favorites->The Star Online. The headlines:

Girl killed

PENANG: Four-year-old Shearwey Ooi Ying Ying is dead, three days after she was reported missing.
She is believed to have been murdered and her bone fragments strewn in at least four different places – a cemetery, river and an apartment dumpsite in Paya Terubong and another river in Jalan Air Itam.
Penang CPO Deputy Commissioner Datuk Koh Hong Sun said a woman and her boyfriend were arrested at the Bayan Lepas police station at 1pm yesterday in connection with the little girl's death.
The murder allegedly took place in the couple’s rented apartment in Bandar Baru Air Itam on Friday, the day the girl was reported missing by her mother Jess Teh.

(Later reports reveal the suspects to be Ying Ying's own mother and her mother's boyfriend)

I had read about this case when it was first reported last Saturday (http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2007/7/7/nation/18243143&sec=nation) and I thought, oh well, now that MCA has deployed its people to look for her, everything should be fine.

But what a tragic end to this story!

Feel so damn sad and helpless...

An innocent life has been taken...

A great wrong has happened...

And hauntingly...

She (Ying Ying's grandmother) said she had called up Jess on July 5 and asked to see Ying Ying after dreaming of the girl the night before. “In my dream, she looked very sad and distressed. She was wearing her pyjamas and her hair was all messed up. That was why I called her because I felt that something bad was about to happen to Ying Ying,” she said.

Yeah, something terrible has happened :(
