"Dinner at Bei Zhan Restaurant"

When we were back in Melaka last December, we went to Bei Zhan Restaurant. My first time there... lets see what we had:

egg

tofu

chicken

steamed buns

for this meat dish

It was pretty good actually.... and most importantly: FAST! Restaurants in Melaka have this bad tendency to take their own sweet time to come up with the dishes, unlike in Penang, where chefs cook up a storm in minutes. Price was pretty decent too, I don't remember being ripped off or anything.

They moved to this beautifully decorated building a few years back. Nice. In fact, we would've loved to host our wedding here if they were completed at that time. And also, we would've loved to have the family CNY here instead of GNW also.. hahah.. guess I'm still a bit peeved with GNW charging a fortune for CNY meals! :P

"Birthday meal at Kim Gary!"

Yeah, this was way back in Nov last year, after coming back from Beijing 2010. We had the Kim Gary birthday voucher which entitles us to a massive 50% discount off the total bill... so apa lagi.. order as we wish dy!

Wife ordered this hot plate mix platter

and I tried their seafood cheese baked rice

and topping it off with their mango ice blended something. All superb!! I think the bill came to about RM30.. well, we wouldn't have ordered these otherwise :P

Full review coming up!

"My new PC!"

My old desktop completely broke down in Feb 2009, although actually it could not serve newer games way before that. I always put off getting a new one until just before CNY, I heard the CALL (of Duty). Coincidentally, Intel had just launched the Sandy Bridge architecture, so everything was falling into place nicely!

And finally here is the new (really) long awaited PC!

Here's the specs:
1) Intel core i7-2600 Processor LGA1155 3.40GHz, 8MB L3 Cache, TDP 95W (RM955)
2) Asus P8P67 Intel P67 S1155 M/B (RM599)
3) Kingston 4GB KVR1333 DDR3 RAM (RM158)
4) Sapphire ATI HD6870 PCIE 1GB DDR5 256 Bit Cross Fire X, PCIE2.1, DX11 - (RM785)
5) WD Caviar Green 2TB 64M SATA Hard disk 3.5 in (RM307)
6) Cooler Master GX 750W PSU (RM367)
7) Cooler Master CM690-II PLUS Chassis (RM285)
8) LITEON 24x DVD Writer (RM61)
Assembly charges (RM60)

Total = RM3577

Some of the specs are insanely overkill, such as the power supply; 750W!! It's even more expensive than the hard disk :P Actually this is to accommodate any future upgrade to a Cross Fire system. As I'm testing all sorts of games at max settings, the single HD6870 graphic card seems to perform effortlessly. Even the notorious hardware killer game, Crysis:Warhead, can run very smooth. However, I'm running at 1280x1024 resolution, so probably the true test would be to run at 2560x1600 or 1920x1200.

Ok, fire away~~ Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is waiting! :P

"Yamato's QF-2200D-B Ghost Booster for VF-0S!"

Here comes Yamato's QF-2200D-B Ghost Booster for the VF-0A/S! The Ghost booster was seen prominently in the last episode of Macross Zero when Roy Focker and Shin Kudo piloted their VF-0S and VF-0A respectively in the final battle. Judging by the wickedness of their opponents, Ivanov and Nora, they are going to need all the help they can get!

On its own, it's not much of a sight... it doesn't transform or anything; just has some landing gears to pull out. But the reason for buying this guy is to attach it to my VF-0S!!!
