Yes, finally tried this shop, a year or two after FoongLin introduced it in her blog :P Usually discouraged to try because I heard it's:
1) Very packed2) Very expensive
But last Sat, we went around 6.30PM and walla, got a nice seat by the window on the first floor!
The BBQ areaBut last Sat, we went around 6.30PM and walla, got a nice seat by the window on the first floor!
Surrounded by all the variety of side dishes:
Vege. Nice
Ugh. Not nice
Nice
Nice
Tasteless??
Salad! Nice
Weird, but nice
Nice
And here comes the first BBQ stuff we ordered: Hanbang Dweji Wang Galbi, it's essentially pork marinated with some sauce
End result! We don't actually have to BBQ it ourselves; the waiter will come by every now and then and do it for us. This one costs RM35 and is really nice!
The next BBQ stuff (we have to order at least 2) is Dak Gal Bi, basically chicken marinated with spices.
End result: Superb!! Can see some overcooked area, this is probably because by this time the restaurant was full and waiter also didn't pay much attention to each table dy :-S This one costs RM27. Both BBQ dishes are superb and highly recommended!
This is KimchiJjiGae, kimchi soup..
Comes with a bowl of rice. Just nice... flood the rice bowl with the soup. It just tastes awesome :D This one costs RM17 and we're glad we ordered this because otherwise won't feel full!
Verdict? Nice la... but the total bill came up to RM86.90, which is quite high for 2 person. After the meal, we sat around drinking the tea provided and blankly admiring the view from the window. What a nice place to sit, eh... until suddenly, waiter came and said, "Sir, here's your bill." Huh? I haven't asked for the bill yet wor... But once we went out of the shop, we understood why: there was a long queue of people waiting outside for a place! Haha... come again? Sure... in a few month's time!
