Just came back from dinner at the newly opened Pappa Rich outlet at E-Gate. As always, new food outlets draw huge crowds :P
Soya Milk Cendol with Gula Melaka (RM5.90) and Barley Lime (RM3.80). Both are nice. Interesting to find drinks with gula melaka outside Melaka too :P

Pappa Nasi Lemak (RM8.90). Really suits our taste! The chicken meat is tender and the gravy is fragrant. The sambal is also nice. Very much a "Malaccan" style of nasi lemak, maybe just missing some kangkung :P
Roti Bakar with Butter and Kaya (RM3.80). Have to put the kaya and butter yourself. Superb! The kaya and butter are heavenly.... drooling~~~
Total bill came out to about RM34 (with 10% service charge). Verdict? Food's great. Nice ambience. BUT. Gosh, did you see the prices of these things?? After the meal, we still felt like not full enough. Wanted to order another rice or something, but that would've pushed the bill straight to RM40s region :-S Well, definitely will be back another time though, lots of other stuff to try!

wow.. look very yummy.. but the price.. erm... no wonder it called papa "rich" :P
Better eat pappa rich while it's still new. Otherwise surely no more quality control when it starts mushrooming everywhere! :S
Amanda, shirley, see this:
"PappaRich is not like any other kopitiam. We truly beg to differ. The run-of-the-mill kopitiam simply serve coffee and asian delicacies at affordable prices, merely to attract customers. Affordable pricing of the drinks and food served is not going to keep the customers coming back. We, at PappaRich, focus our attention on the QUALITY of our foods and drinks. We are proud of how authentic your favorite foods are. You enjoying your orders at Pappa, while spending quality time with friends and families is the epitome of our goal. We envision each and every of your visit to PappaRich is one that’s better than your driving of 300km to eat at your hometown."
