"Xuan Xin Restaurant @ Gurney Plaza"

The other day, after photo selection we went to Gurney Plaza. There was a restaurant called Xuan Xin beside Sakae Sushi in the new wing where we usually see a long queue. But we were early that day around 6.30PM, so decided to try it! Unfortunately, I didn't bring my camera along, so these pics were taken by the Nokia 2330's VGA camera...

Device to Call (waiter), Bill or Water (refill).

The menu isn't exactly the most user-friendly we've seen. The pictures shown were not the Chef's recommendations, which was kinda weird. Easier way is to ask the waiter to recommend popular dishes ;)

The dishes all came after less than 10 minutes wait, very efficient. For vege, we had this: Spinach with 2 kinds of egg in superior stock. There's century egg and salted egg with normal egg, in a very light ("ching") soup.. hard to describe, but this is very highly recommended!!

Next up is tofu with eggplant cooked in oyster sauce. A bit too heavy on the sauce for my liking, better eat together with the rice to neutralize it a bit!

Finally is the pork cooked in sweet sour sauce. I can't recall the names of these dishes as I misplaced the receipt. This is really good, the meat is juicy and tender and the size of it, can easily serve 3 person.

A small bowl of rice, but we didn't add more because the servings were pretty huge.

The price? Came out to about RM50++; pretty expensive stuff! But I think the food is nice and interesting enough that we'll come back again :)
